ANNOUNCING A NEW DATE: Saturday 11 June 2011.
Australia is making some of the finest and best value wines in the world, but there are a lot of duds to dodge to find them! Welcome to your ultimate introduction to Australian wine. What’s the difference in taste between sauvignon blanc, riesling and semillon? Why is pinot noir made differently to grenache and tempranillo? And how do you pronounce that? In this tasting we will line up every one of the key wine styles and varieties and investigate what makes each one unique. We will discover sparkling wines, aromatic whites, full-bodied whites, rosé, light reds, full-bodied reds and sweet and fortified wines. All up, twenty-four wines, with a total value of $540.
